Thank you for letting us stay at your amazing house for our wedding weekend. We had the most unforgettable time and Polpier and Penpol was the perfect venue for our celebrations. Our family and friends said they felt like royalty staying in such a beautiful place. The wedding day was beyond perfection for us and being able to spend time with our closest in Mevagissey for the whole weekend was fantastic. The Sunday we spent relaxing at the pool and we made good use of the pizza gazebo too which was one of our favourite parts of the weekend.

It’s actually quite hard to put into words what this weekend has meant to myself, my beautiful wife our family and friends whom traveled from all over to be at Penpol and Polpier this weekend.

The reason I write this mail is to explain from our perspective what effect this property had on my family and extended family whom at certain parts were emotional at how beautiful Polpier and Penpol are. It would be fair to say that the venue was the star of our wedding.

The very special nature of Polpier was summed up by one guest who said they only went out into Mevagissey itself for “the joy of stepping back through the wooden gate and into Narnia again”

I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed the wonderful Polpier a couple of weeks ago. The house is finished to an exceptional standard for a large group & everyone was hugely impressed on a number of levels. The fact that we were also blessed with mid-summer warmth proved to be the cherry on the cake & really brought the pool into play. To be honest we hardly ventured out that much, such was the array of facilities for all ages.

If you’re venturing to Cornwall in a group, Polpier House in the old coastal town of Mevagissey will make you very happy. The surrounding beaches and winding seafront pathways make for bracing days out, but really, you won’t want to leave the building. With eight super-king bedrooms, a living room with a crackling fireplace, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a home cinema, snooker and tennis tables and soaring views of the ocean, this is a place to drink in every minute with friends, family and a few bottles of wine. There’s even a ‘disco hall’ with its own DJ booth. Need we say any more?

Outstanding, super and very, very fabulous. We’ve splashed about in the sun, danced every night and loved every second.

A fabulous house which has everything you could ever need. The heated pool was an added bonus! All in all an amazing place to celebrate a special occasion with a large family.

After a warm welcome from Amanda Craze, we really enjoyed the perfectly equipped house over a period of two weeks. We spent a splendid holiday period with trips in the area, be it a walk on the South West Coast Path or a trip into England’s past to Pendennis Castle.
