It’s actually quite hard to put into words what this weekend has meant to myself, my beautiful wife our family and friends whom traveled from all over to be at Penpol and Polpier this weekend.
The reason I write this mail is to explain from our perspective what effect this property had on my family and extended family whom at certain parts were emotional at how beautiful Polpier and Penpol are. It would be fair to say that the venue was the star of our wedding.
The very special nature of Polpier was summed up by one guest who said they only went out into Mevagissey itself for “the joy of stepping back through the wooden gate and into Narnia again”

Polpier is a beautiful house that lives up to and surpasses any description on the website. We had a lovely weeks holiday, nice and relaxed, swimming, tennis, everything you could wish for. It is a lovely area as there are so many things (gold, fishing, walking) to do around Mevagissey. Very nice reception and staff. Thanks for a lovely week.

A week long family holiday – fab for the kids with the pool and games. Croquet on the lawn was great! Beautiful setting and lovely views – everything we wanted here! No need to leave the house.

Thank you for a glorious action packed week in glorious sunshine. The ‘Polpier Olympics’ consisted of tennis, pool, table tennis, novelty swimming, relay races and culminated in dancing in the Disco Hall! We continued the week with sea fishing, the Lost Gardens of Heligan were a delight and the Kneehigh Theatre production of Chagall divine. Many thanks to Graham for cuttings from the wonderful garden and Amanda and her team for making the entire stay so relaxed and pleasant.
